Priory...not a Rectory!
A PRIORY is the smallest, complete unit of governance within the Dominican Order (aka Order of Preachers).
It is where a community of Dominican friars lives, prays, and governs itself.

The friars living in a priory may engage in a wide range of ministries nearby. The superior is called a prior and he is obedient to his provincial.
A RECTORY is where a diocesan priest lives and is often located next to the parish to which he is assigned by his bishop.
